Check out this powerful beauty of a goal from New York Rangers forward Rick Nash as he beats Carolina Hurricanes’ Cam Ward top shelf.
Listen folks: It’s never a question of talent when it comes to New York Rangers power forward Rick Nash.
The guy has top-rate skill.
He uses that big frame in combination with quickness, and one of the wickedest shots in the NHL today, in order to pile up regular season goals.
It always comes down to the guy not producing goals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Although he’s morphed into a solid two-way player who excels in many areas of the game, he hasn’t yet shown that snarl the Blueshirts need from him come tournament time.
Tonight, against the Carolina Hurricanes during Eric Staal‘s homecoming, he quickly reminded some of us what he’s capable of.
Check out the video above. Nash completely powers through Canes’ defender Brett Pesce (who’s a big man, not to be confused with little guy Joe Pesci), and beats Cam Ward top-shelf to give the Rangers a 2-1 second period lead.
