New York City FC vs. Toronto FC: Preview, Tweets, News

Looking to build upon a solid opening week, New York City FC will host Toronto FC in their 2016 MLS home opener.

  • New York City FC (1-0-0, 3 pts)
  • Toronto FC (1-0-0, 3 pts)
  • MLS, Eastern Conference, ESPN 2
  • Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY

With the New York Red Bulls now being shutout over the course of their first two games of the 2016 MLS season, New York City FC has a tremendous opportunity to take the city by storm.

With a win today, during their home opener against Toronto FC at Yankee Stadium, NYCFC would improve to 2-0-0 and take a firm hold of the early season Metropolitan success.

Last season in three matchups, Toronto FC went winless against the expansion NYCFC (one draw).

Head coach David Vieira can only hope that trend continues today.

The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM ET from the Bronx.
