Captain John Tavares made sure his New York Islanders were well represented at the NHL Skills Competition as he won the Shooting Accuracy Contest.

Despite it being one of the biggest snooze-fests of the entire sports year, the NHL Skills Competition does bring some highlights to it.

One from this year’s edition in Nashville came from P.K. Subban who dressed like Florida Panthers legend Jaromir Jagr during his free skate/breakaway thingy they now do:

Locally, captain John Tavares has brought home the biggest highlight. Representing his New York Islanders to the best of his ability, he won the Shooting Accuracy contest by sniping 4-of-5 shots in just about 12 seconds:

Other winners on the night have included Shea Weber blasting a 108.1 miles per hour shot in the Hardest Shot Contest, and Detroit Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin breaking the record in the Fastest Skater Competition:
