New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman throws hard. He also proved it in this Instagram video for all fans to snag a sneak peek.
According to a report by Brendan Kuty of NJ.com, Aroldis Chapman met with New York Yankees pitching coach Larry Rothschild and trainer Matt Krause at the Yankees training facility in Tampa, Florida.
Chapman threw for them, and as you can see, this is the first video of the Cuban closer throwing in Yankees gear (video above).
The guy’s nickname is the Cuban Missile, as everybody can easily see why.
When he reaches back to throw you can feel the tides turn because the pitch is coming in at 100-plus miles per hour almost every time.
Since 2011, Chapman has thrown 54.5% of all pitches of 100+ miles per hour since 2011.
The guy is simply unreal when it comes to velocity and power in his pitches.
The Yankees’ bullpen will consist of Chapman, Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances.
That trio has the potential to be the best bullpen in the big leauges for years to come.
