Sell High

Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

No… your eyes aren’t mistaking you. The Packers are going into Week 11 having lost their last three games. Rodgers hasn’t lost three straight starts since 2008 and the offense just looks out of sync in general. No wide receiver Jordy Nelson, running back Eddie Lacy isn’t playing like his usual self and receiver Randall Cobb is struggling. The NFL is shaping into a speed attack league which is bad for Green Bay because they don’t have a receiver that runs faster than a 4.5 40-time.

So why do I have the regaining NFL MVP as a sell high option?

At this point in the season the Packers should be hitting the panic button. If you look at their upcoming schedule, they play the Minnesota Vikings twice, the Detroit Lions, who had Rodgers number in Week 10, and the Arizona Cardinals. Yes, the upcoming games are scary matchups for Rodgers and the Packers, but just his fantasy value in general makes him a good trade asset. There are plenty of quality quarterbacks in the league putting up similar fantasy points per game as Rodgers, and if you’re an owner lacking depth in a particular position, don’t think you’re crazy to shop him around.

The Wolf’s suggestion? Try and improve the lacking positions by trading Rodgers, and pick up a replacement QB off waivers or via trade.
