Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown
The star wide receiver for the Steelers enjoyed a record breaking game last week against the Oakland Raiders. Brown caught an eye popping 17 passes for an even more eye popping 284 yards.
Crazy numbers right? Well here’s the catch. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left the game in the 4th quarter with a foot injury and is expected to miss “several” weeks. In every game Roethlisberger has started, Brown saw at least 10 targets in every one of those game and scored a touchdown in three out of the four.
With quarterbacks Michael Vick and Landry Jones leading the offense, Brown never once reached 10 targets and failed to reach the endzone. The impact of the Roethlisberger injury puts a major dent in Brown’s fantasy production.
It may be safe to trade him now as the Steelers are set to matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Denver Broncos in the upcoming weeks.
