One of the enormous bright spots for the New York Knicks in their home opening loss to the Hawks tonight was the play of Kristaps Porzingis.

How about this guy? Kristaps Porzingis – the young Latvia kid who was booed unmercifully by the New York crown on draft day – is continually forcing our jaws to drop and mouth to salivate.

The 7’3” talent oozing with talent did it again in the New York Knicks 112-101 home opening loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Watch him steal the ball, drive half the court along the left side, and then spin on NBA veteran Pual Millsap to find himself uncontested for the slam (video above).

Although the Hawks taught the Knicks a lesson or two in the subject of team ball tonight, Derek Fisher’s club is showing that its well equipped to handle the future.
