Well then. That was certainly quick for the youngster.

In the New York Rangers first game of the brand-spanking new season, prized rookie Oscar Lindberg tallied his first NHL goal.

It came on a 3-on-2 rush from the third-line. It was J.T. Miller, Viktor Stalberg and Lindberg who buried the first goal of the season past Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford.

Miller mad an impressive pass off a fortunate bounce (after a failed first pass-attempt). Lindberg made no doubt about it as he buried it in the back of the net.

As play continues on with just over five minutes remaining in second period, the Rangers hold a slim 3-2 lead over the defending champs.
