Live Stream of tonight’s MLS game between the New York Red Bulls and NYCFC from Harrison, NJ.
Earlier this week the New York Red Bulls (9-6-6) acquired winger Gonzalo Veron from Club Atletico San Lorenzo in the Argentine Primera Division as a designated player. They hope to have him step in tonight and make an impact in the Red Bulls rivalry matchup against New York City F.C. (6-10-6).
“In an ideal world, he’s going on the field (Sunday) to help us get a win.” coach Jesse Marsch told Yahoo! Sports.
Shaun Wright-Phillips, brother of red Bulls star Bradley Wright-Phillips will also be on the field tonight for the Red Bulls after contributing an assist in two games played.
Although NYCFC is currently out of the playoff picture, star player David Villa has scored nine goals in NYCFC’s last seven games and three in the team’s last two games.
Midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard made their debuts in NYCFC’s last game, and hope to continue to make a difference in tonight’s game.
The Red Bulls have won both of the last two meetings against Jason Kreis’s squad, however the both teams have made some acquisitions since the last matchup that could contribute to the outcome of this Hudson River Derby.
