New York Rangers Trade Dylan McIlrath To Panthers For D Steven Kampfer
Jeff Gorton and the New York Rangers have finally come to a resolution regarding Dylan McIlrath. He’s been shipped to Sunrise, Florida.
After a long wait, the New York Rangers have traded 2010 1st-round pick, Dylan McIlrath. According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Rangers traded McIlrath to the Florida Panthers for Steve Kampfer and a conditional 7th-round pick.

The Rangers drew interest from the Winnipeg Jets and the Anaheim Ducks in early October, but no deal was reached with either team.
When a deal didn’t happen, they placed McIlrath on waivers on October 27. He cleared waivers and was assigned to the Hartford Wolfpack.
The man the Blueshirts are getting goes by the name Steve Kampfer. Kampfer was entering his third season with the Panthers. He had two brief stints with the Boston Bruins and the Minnesota Wild prior to joining the Panthers and was previously with the Rangers back in 2014.
The Rangers will also receive a conditional 2018 7th-round pick. The only way the Rangers get the pick is if McIlrath plays 30 games this season.
