New York Islanders Recall Josh Ho-Sang On Emergency Basis

Josh Ho-Sang is back with the New York Islanders, but fans shouldn’t get too excited—his stay probably won’t be for very long.
[sc name=”Islanders Center”]The New York Islanders announced Saturday that they’ve recalled forward Josh Ho-Sang on an emergency basis from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

With Anthony Beauvillier expected to miss tonight’s game against St, Louis, Ho-Sang was needed to give the team 12 forwards. Beauvillier was injured in Friday night’s 5-0 blowout loss to Dallas after blocking two shots with the same foot.

Ho-Sang, whose demotion earlier this season sent Isles Twitter into a frenzy, recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and a plus-two rating in six games with Bridgeport. In six games with the Isles this season, he dished out four assists and was a plus-one.
No matter how well Ho-Sang plays during this stint with the big club, he will have to be returned to the Sound Tigers upon a currently injured forward returning to the lineup.
Until then, No. 66 will have a spot on one of the Isles’ four lines. We will find out exactly where when the puck drops against the Blues at 8 p.m. ET.
