The New York Rangers made another roster move Sunday, recalling forward Boo Nieves from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The New York Rangers have recalled Boo Nieves from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The team has sent rookie Tim Gettinginger back down to the AHL.

Nieves, 20, has appeared in 20 games for the Wolf Pack, recording one goal with eight points. He had one assist in the Wolf Pack’s 6-3 loss to Syracuse on Saturday.

Nieves has skated with the Rangers for 72 games over the last three seasons, recording five goals with 19 points. Boo appeared in 43 games with the Blueshirts last season, scoring four goals to go along with 10 points.

Gettinger played in two games this season this year and recorded his first NHL point (an assist) Friday night against the Ottawa Senators. He averaged just over eight minutes in his two games played.

Gettinger was called up last week when the Rangers decided that center Lias Andersson should report to Hartford to receive some much-needed ice time.

The Rangers have three games upcoming this week: Monday night vs. Minnesota at the Garden, Wednesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes and a post-Thanksgiving Day matchup in Boston against the Bruins Friday afternoon on NBC at 1:00 p.m. ET.
