The New York Rangers rookie defenseman Ryan Lindgren added to the blueline’s good start by netting his first NHL goal Sunday afternoon.

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren scored the first NHL goal of his career in the first period of their game against the Florida Panthers.

Lindgren took a fabulous pass from center Ryan Strome and buried a shot just under the crossbar to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead five minutes into the first period.

Artemi Panarin had the secondary assist as he extended his point streak to eight games (four goals, seven assists). Panarin leads the Rangers in points this season (17) and has been on the ice for 26 of the team’s 47 goals in 2019-20.

Ryan Strome also continued his scoring flare. The center extended his point streak to three games (one goal, three assists). He has recorded points in 9 nine of the last 10 games (five goals with 13 points in that span).

The New York Rangers gave up two goals in 30 seconds and trail the Panthers heading into the second period.
