New York Jets safety Jamal Adams tweeted a SpongeBob clip to troll Daniel Jones after he strip-sacked him during Sunday’s game.

Things seem to be trending upwards for the New York Jets for once this season. They defeated the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon and franchise quarterback Sam Darnold looked good after a bad three-week stretch.

Additionally, they have finally cleared the air with star safety Jamal Adams after trade deadline drama. Adams responded with a strong game against the Giants on Sunday, including a nasty strip-sack on Daniel Jones that he literally ripped from his hands.

After the game, Adams took to Twitter to have some fun. He posted a clip from SpongeBob in which Patrick steals SpongeBob’s purse while saying, “I’ll be taking that.”

Adams has always had fun on social media and Sunday afternoon was no different. The clip is funny and it’s good that Adams is still staying positive given the team’s struggles and a tumultuous couple of weeks.

Adams has had a very good two and a half year run with the team. Prior to Sunday afternoon’s game against the Giants, the safety was a Pro Bowler last season. His strip-sack of Jones will go down as his fifth forced fumble and fourth recovered fumble of his career.

The fumble obviously never touched the ground, as Adams pulled it out of Jones’s hands right into his own. He then took off running and brought the ball back into the end zone for the touchdown. It was a big play that changed the momentum in the Jets’ favor.

Adams clearly enjoyed the play given his social media reaction after the game.
