New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones connects with Saquon Barkley on a four-yard touchdown pass in the waning minutes of Sunday’s game.

Big Blue may have lost its fourth consecutive game, but they sure kept fighting towards the end. With over a minute to go in the fourth quarter and the New York Giants down 31-19, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones connected on a four-yard touchdown pass to Saquon Barkley. It was Jones’ fourth touchdown pass of the game.

The Giants lost the game 31-26 to drop to 2-6 in what could be another lost season for this organization.

Jones also connected with rookie wide receiver Darius Slayton for two touchdowns as well as tight end Evan Engram for one score. Jones has now set a new career-high in single-game touchdown passes. He additionally didn’t throw an interception but lost a fumble, his sixth of the year.

The rookie completed 28 of his 41 throws for 322 yards in the defeat.

Barkley caught eight balls for 79 yards and a touchdown through the air. He also carried the ball 19 times for 64 yards.

Having lost their sixth game of the year, New York is planted at the third-place spot in the NFC East division. The only team keeping them from finding themselves at the bottom of the division is Washington, who’s 1-7 on the year.

The Giants will have an extended break prior to their next game. Big Blue doesn’t play until Monday night of next week when they’ll take on the division-leading Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys previously defeated the Giants during Week 1 by a score of 35-17.
