New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley posts hype video on Twitter as he looks to return to the game field as soon as possible.
Could Saquon Barkley be returning to the game field for the New York Giants this Sunday? Well, that’s yet to be determined.
The Pro Bowl running back and 2018 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year is currently nursing a high ankle sprain. He sustained the injury in a Week 3 win in Tampa Bay and has missed the last three games.
Whether or not Barkley plays this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, he still wants to get fans hype for his eventual return. He did so on Twitter, posting a hype video with the song “HIGHEST IN THE ROOM” by Travis Scott, including the caption, “I’ll be back soon … ”

Barkley had 37 carries for 237 yards (6.4 yards-per-carry) for one touchdown before he went down with the injury. He additionally caught 11 balls on 18 targets for 74 yards through the air.
There was originally speculation that Barkley would be able to return for the Giants’ Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup against the New England Patriots.
Doctors weren’t able to clear him for that game, but luckily, a 10-day break is present between Big Blue’s Week 6 and 7 games. Fans are hoping Barkley will be good to go for the upcoming home matchup.
Since the setback began, New York has played Wayne Gallman, Jon Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny in his absence. Gallman scored two touchdowns in the Week 4 win over Washington (one rushing, one receiving), but missed Week 6 with a concussion. Hilliman was recently released after his poor performance in the 35-14 loss to New England.
