“Stranger Things” star and avid New York Rangers fan, Gaten Matarazzo, will be featured in some on-air promotions for MSG Networks this season.
A network original show, Stranger Things, is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the early 1980s. It can be seen on Netflix.
For those that have been hiding under a rock, Matarazzo is also very well known for the Verizon Fios commercials that plastered television over the last year or so.
Matarazzo will make his first appearance on MSG Networks telecasts Thursday night during the Rangers home opener against the Winnipeg Jets. He will be featured right before the puck drops to get fans excited for the start of the game.
Following Thursday night’s promo, Matarazzo will appear several times throughout Rangers game on MSG Network.
The Rangers begin their 2019-2020 season with a new look as Artemi Panarin, Jacob Trouba, Adam Fox and Kaapo Kakko all make the MSG debut.
The Rangers pregame show kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET and will be followed by player introductions beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Faceoff will commence following all of the pre-game activities.
