New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones says Eli Manning has been “extremely helpful” for him thus far.
Daniel Jones and Eli Manning are in a weird spot as the New York Giants quarterbacks. Manning is trying to prolong his Giants tenure. Jones, on the other hand, is trying to eventually become the Giants starter at the quarterback position.
However, through it all, Manning is being “extremely helpful” for Jones and assisting him for the future.

“Any question I’ve had or any question I’ve asked, [Eli’s] been more than helpful with me and answering [them],” Jones told the media on Wednesday.
Jones added, “whenever anything comes up, it’s easy to ask him and get a full explanation.”
Yes, it could be an awkward situation between the two. Many want Manning out as the Giants quarterback, as they feel his skills and ability to win football games have declined in recent years. Many also want Eli to start for right now and help prepare Jones for the future.
However, through it all, both quarterbacks are doing what they can and preparing to play, regardless of what the situation is.
The Giants will continue their second week of training camp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, NJ on Wednesday. The first week saw multiple setbacks, such as injuries to Sterling Shepard and Corey Coleman, along with a four-game suspension implemented for Golden Tate.
Big Blue won’t play their first preseason game until Aug. 8, where they’ll face off against the New York Jets.
