The New York Giants reached a contract agreement with third-round pick Oshane Ximines on Sunday, leaving Daniel Jones as the only rookie that has yet to reach a contract agreement.

With rookies and select veterans reporting to training camp on Monday, the New York Giants reached a contract agreement with Oshane Ximines on Sunday.

The terms of the deal are expected to be revealed on Monday when Ximines officially signs on the dotted line.

With Ximines set to sign his deal on Monday, quarterback Daniel Jones remains the only rookie who has yet to reach an agreement with the team.

Ximines was the lone edge rusher the Giants took in the draft (95th overall). He’s not projected to be a starter, but he is expected to help on passing downs and revitalize a pass rush that could only garner 30 sacks last season.

The Old Dominion product tallied 32.5 sacks during his collegiate career and general manager Dave Gettleman believes he’s a player they need to make their pass rush formidable again.

Jason's first love was football while growing up in northern New Jersey. For the past three years, he has covered the New York Giants, as well as several boxing events along the East Coast.
