New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley makes it his No. 1 priority to do everything in life for his daughter, Jada.

During his rookie season, many New York Giants fans loved seeing Saquon Barkley cross the goal line 15 times. They loved witnessing his all-around tenacity and talent as an NFL running back, which propelled him to win the AP Offensive Rooke of the Year.

However, Barkley’s No. 1 priority as a human comes off the field. Barkley makes it known that everything he does is and will continue to be for his one-year-old daughter, Jada.

“That’s my everything,” Barkley told Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com.

Barkley became a father to Jada on April 24, 2018, with his college girlfriend Anna Congdon. It was the same week the Giants selected Barkley out of Penn State with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Ever since that week, when his life changed in multiple ways, Barkley has made it known that it’s all for Jada, both on and off the field.

“It’s not just football,” Barkley said. “Every business decision I make, every investment, every marketing deal, all have to come with the mindset of my daughter being first. She is my world. I’m going to give her the world.

“I’m going to make sure she never has any worries in life, but I’m also going to show her that you have to work for everything in your life. I want to be the best role model and father I can be in her life.”

Barkley is going into his second year as the Giants running back after a sensational rookie year in which he led the NFL in scrimmage yards with 2,028. On Sunday, he’ll be celebrating his second Father’s Day as a parent to Jada.

However, judging by how his priorities are straight, he won’t want the day to be about him. Instead, he’ll probably make the day about his daughter, just like any other day.
