Of the 22 projected New York Giants starters, Pro Football Focus only gave Saquon Barkley a grade of 80 or better.

The New York Giants have been very active this offseason, namely trading away three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns for safety Jabrill Peppers and two draft picks that turned out to be Dexter Lawrence and Oshane Ximines.

The OBJ trade to the Browns was the second trade the two teams made this offseason as earlier the Giants trade Olivier Vernon for guard Kevin Zeitler.

Other key players the Giants acquired in the offseason were right tackle Mike Remmers, receiver Golden Tate and safety Antoine Bethea.

The Giants roster is definitely a more physical roster than it was a season ago. But not everyone is a fan of the Giants roster, and one of the organizations that’s not a fan of the roster is Pro Football Focus.

Of the 22 projected starters on offense and defense, Saquon Barkley is the only player based off performance from last season that Pro Football Focus gave a grade better than 80 (85.9).

Defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson and tight end Evan Engram were the two starters that came the closest to an 80 grade with grades of 78.9 and 76.4 respectively.

Nobody should read too much into PFF grades because as the saying goes, with opinions, everyone has them. But just mark them down as another doubter who the Giants will try to prove wrong once the season starts.
