New York Islanders: Thank you for the 2018-19 NHL season (SND Podcast)

The official New York Islanders thank you comes out after a disappointing Stanley Cup Playoffs finish, courtesy of the SND Podcast.

After a few weeks off, the guys regroup, catch up and recap the New York Islanders successful season. They also recap everything that went wrong in the second-round sweep in the Stanley Cup Playoffs vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. There are plenty of things to look forward to in the 2019-20 season that everyone who follows the Islanders should be excited for.

The podcast also goes into a deep dive into the 2019 NFL Draft recap while discussing the New York Jets drafting Quinnen Williams, the Green Bay Packers drafting two defensive players in the first round in Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage, and, of course, we had to finish this segment talking about the three draft picks the Giants had in the first round.

We dive deep into the Daniel Jones Pick at sixth overall. Was it the right pick, even though the majority of the football world disagreed with the move? We also broke down the other two first-round draft picks that the Giants picked at 17 and again at 30, in Dexter Lawrence and DeAndre Baker.

To close out the show, we also discussed everything that has been going on with the New York Yankees and Mets. The Mets bats finally cooled off a bit after a hot start to the season. We also go in-depth on how impressed that we all are in Pete Alonso. Can the Mets stay in the thick of the NL East Division while they fight through this minor slump?

As for the Yankees, they are still fighting the injury bug, but the “B-Yankees” have been holding their own and keeping the Yankees in striking distance of leading the AL East Division.
