Zion Williamson is unlike anyone we’ve ever seen. At least, that’s what New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale believes.

Zion Williamson might be in a class of his own. The projected No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft is a ridiculous athlete who has fascinated the basketball world. New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale hasn’t seen anything like him yet.

The head coach appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” and was asked about the draft and Williamson. When Patrick asked Fizdale who Williamson reminds him of, Fizdale’s answer was simply, “no one.”

Earlier in the interview, Fizdale was asked if the Knicks knew who they would take with the No. 1 pick. When he confirmed that the Knicks have a target, Patrick pretended to bring Williamson out and Fizdale was forced to put on his poker face, however unconvincing it may have been.

Obviously, the Knicks don’t want to give away too much of their offseason plan. Fizdale also deflected questions about how he plans to convince superstar free agents to come to New York. He cited his desire to keep his cards close to the chest.

Although they don’t want to telegraph their offseason plan, most expect the Knicks to go all out for Kevin Durant and another max player.

After a history of dysfunction, the Knicks, at least on the surface, appear to be heading in the right direction. The stability brought by Fizdale and general manager Scott Perry might be enough to sway free agents to Madison Square Garden.
