Jose Canseco is doing his best to ruin former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez’s engagement to pop icon Jennifer Lopez.
Erstwhile MLB outfielder Jose Canseco made a career of bashing home runs. Now he’s making news by bashing Alex Rodriguez, one-time New York Yankees’ third baseman and current fiancé of Jennifer Lopez.
The story began when A-Rod popped the question to J-Lo with a diamond roughly the size of home plate:
When Canseco heard the news, he took to Twitter like a man full of jealousy and way too much booze.
The 54-year-old first fired off a few tweets that claim Rodriguez is having an affair with Canseco’s ex-wife Jessica:
Watching World of Dance watching J.Lo text Alex Rodriguez little does she know that he is cheating on her with my ex-wife Jessica poor girl she has no idea who he really is
— Jose Canseco (@JoseCanseco) March 11, 2019
I was there a few months back with her when he called her on her phone

Alex Rodriguez stop being a piece of shit stop cheating on Jennifer Lopez
— Jose Canseco (@JoseCanseco) March 11, 2019
He then challenged A-Rod to a fight and offered to take a polygraph to prove the veracity of his accusation:
Alex Rodriguez I challenge you to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want
— Jose Canseco (@JoseCanseco) March 11, 2019
I am willing to take a polygraph to prove that what I'm saying about Alex Rodriguez is 100% accurate

Now, Canseco has made bold allegations about A-Rod in the past that turned out to be true—but those assertions were about steroid use. This situation is a whole other ballgame.
There’s no word yet of a response from Rodriguez, who once famously lied about using HGH. However, an unnamed source told US Weekly’s Nicholas Hautman that Lopez remains unfazed by Canseco’s claims:
“She’s heard the cheating rumors in the past and has never let it bother her. She trusts him and his love. They are inseparable and together almost all of the time. Jose Canseco has an ax to grind, but she doesn’t hear the noise.”
One thing is certain in all this drama: these two archenemies are turning sports pages into gossip rags. As punishment for that, maybe they really should face off in the octagon, like Canseco suggested.
That’s super unlikely to happen, though, so here’s a video of a flyball bouncing off Canseco’s head instead:
There’s also a Yankees spring game on Tuesday at 6:35 pm to distract fans from this non-baseball nonsense.
