The Christmas season is officially upon us and New York Rangers’ Henrik Lundqvist is in the giving spirit already.
Henrik Lundqvist continues to go above and beyond, but this time he’s doing it off the ice.
While the New York Rangers are off enjoying a week without a game, Lundqvist decided to go out and surprise Emma from the Garden of Dreams Foundation with a holiday shopping spree.

Just look at the pure excitement on the face of Emma who clearly was not expecting to see the face of the New York Rangers in the same store as her. She looked so excited, practically smiling throughout the entire interaction with Lundqvist. She was obviously a little nervous seeing one of her idols as she clung to her mother’s leg throughout the video, and truthfully speaking, I would do the same thing if my idol surprised me shopping.
Lundqvist, along with his family, and Emma would go on a shopping spree for some early Christmas presents.

This isn’t the first time we have seen Lundqvist give back to the New York community. Earlier this season he appeared on Good Morning America to surprise three-time cancer survivor Connor McMahon and he continues to do great work not only the Garden of Dreams but, along with his foundation, the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation as well.
It’s moments like these where you sit back and think to yourself how hockey players just seem to do it better than anyone else. Lundqvist is just the perfect example of that, as he constantly finds time to give back to the community.
You could not ask for a better person to represent the New York Rangers on and off the ice than Henrik Lundqvist.
