Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress viciously roasts ex-Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez now that he’s playing again.
Plaxico Burress isn’t waiting for Mark Sanchez to shoot himself in the foot … or in the thigh … at a nightclub … while hanging out with Antonio Pierce.
The former New York Giants Super Bowl hero took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to absolutely thrash Mark Sanchez.

“I can’t wait to see this QB play for the Washington Redskins for the rest of the season. @mark_sanchez Let me grab my popcorn. #comedyfor3hours #checkdownking Yup I said it!!”
Sanchez, 32, suddenly finds himself the Washington Redskins starting quarterback after injuries to starter Alex Smith and backup Colt McCoy. This past Monday night, he entered the game and promptly did very little in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The only Sanchez magic came when handing the ball to Adrian Peterson.
Of course, Sanchez was the New York Jets quarterback during Burress’s short stint in green.
The artist formerly known as “Shoot himself in the thigh” tallied 618 yards and eight scores on 45 grabs during the 2011 season—his lone campaign with the Jets. Sanchez threw for 3,474 yards and 26 touchdowns to 18 interceptions that season, leading his team to a disappointing 8-8 season that ended in a crushing defeat to the Giants.
Burress played only one more season in the NFL, a poor statistical output with his initial team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. If anything, Burress’s NFL career was extended by the Jets and the “check-down king” himself, Mr. Sanchez.
Any way you slice it, this is a terrible move on the part of the former Super Bowl hero who caught the easiest game-winning touchdown in the big game’s history. Not only is it a bad look, but it’ll recharge the self-inflicted loaded gun ammo.
Hopefully, Antonio Pierce sees the Tweet soon so he can take Plaxico Burress to Twitter hospital.
