The month of August was a fun time for some of the New York Rangers. As we wait for the hockey season to begin, let’s take a look at some of the events the Blueshirts were part of.
Several New York Rangers enjoyed a very busy month of August. From outdoor hockey games in Oslo, Norway to the Da Beauty League, the players have been keeping busy as they await the start of the NHL season.
Welcome to the team, Ranger
Let’s start with the newest member of the hockey team, Ranger.
Adam Graves introduced Rangertown to the beautiful pup as he made everyone aware of his status as a service dog for autism.
RangersTown, meet our new best friend, Ranger!
In partnership with BluePath, @NYRangersPup will be training to become a professional service dog for a child with autism.

Some barkground on me:
I’m a Lab.
Born on 1/31/18.
My first collar was blue and now I get to be a Blueshirt!
My pre-game treat is peanut butter!
I’m learning to handle pucks!
I love to take the subway to MSG!#NYRPupOnAPath pic.twitter.com/wn3ViGtqQY— Ranger (@NYRangersPup) August 7, 2018
Outdoor hockey in Norway
Henrik Lundqvist and Mats Zuccarello traveled to Oslo, Norway for a special charity outdoor game. Zuccarello and Lundqvist went head to head with their teams in a battle of bragging rights.
Zuccarello got the better of Hank, scoring three goals, but Hank’s team went on for the win. The biggest winners though were the charities the players raised the money for. It was a great event in which everyone enjoyed the moment.

The world traveler, Pavel Buchnevich
Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich might have been the busiest player of them all. He played in Russia in the World Championships, then traveled to Turkey and Italy. Buchnevich took advantage of his free time, put this past season behind him and should be ready to take on the NHL when he hits the ice.
The World Championships in ?, the World Cup in ⚽️, plus trips to Turkey and Rome made it a busy summer for #NYR forward Pavel Buchnevich.
