New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will actually turn a 180 and show up for OTAs during the offseason of 2018.
It’s almost as if Odell Beckham Jr. is looking for a brand new contract.
I'm told #Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) will attend voluntary OTA's, per source. The #Giants begin Phase 3 of the offseason conditioning program Monday, May 21st. Beckham will show, even as the star receiver & the team have yet to come to terms on a contract extension.

Beckham Jr., 25, never attends Giants OTAs. It’s become a hot topic of conversation every time the spring rolls around. Jints fans witness old-man Eli Manning throwing the football around the field to everybody in a voluntary action while OBJ is posting training clips and/or celebrity gatherings on Instagram.
It’s interesting that, in this offseason Beckham Jr. is looking for a new deal, he’ll suddenly be attending the voluntary workouts.
OBJ is entering the final year of a five-year rookie deal. He’s slated to earn nearly $8.5 million this coming season. It’s a far cry from his $1.8 million a season ago.
Due to the fact OBJ represents one of the greatest weapons in the game, he and his team are striking while the iron is hot. As an NFL player working under a CBA that doesn’t guarantee contracts, getting everything possible is not only recommended, it’s a must.
The money, beginning a first-impression and landing on the side of good graces with the new regime, and coming back from a season-ending injury is probably overwhelming enough evidence to drill the point home that attending OTAs this time around would be a smart decision.
Over the kid’s first four seasons in the NFL totaling 47 games, 4,424 yards and 38 touchdowns through the air have been racked up on 313 total hauls.
The New York Giants will kick-off OTAs on May 21 with, reportedly, Odell Beckham Jr. fully in tow.
