The Swedish Games continued on Sunday as New York Rangers players from the Czech Republic and Team Russia took to the ice.

Russia faced off against the Czech Republic in the Swedish Games on Sunday, with Russia defeating the Czech Republic 4-2.

The game featured New York Rangers players and prospects, as Filip Chytil took on Pavel Buchnevich and goaltender Igor Shestyorkin.

Chtytil assisted on the games first goal as he dished the puck over to fellow teammate Dmitrij Jaskin.

Here is what New York Rangers fans are expected to see more of this season. Pavel Buchnevich beating Czech Republic goalie Pavel Francouz high on his stick side. He showed his patience and accuracy in scoring the goal.

In the second period, Filip Chytil recorded his second point of the game as he scored on the power play for the Czech Republic. It’s an impressive display of hand and eye coordination, Chytil took a pass from his left side, stopped the puck with his right skate, and in what seems to be in one motion, shoots the puck past Russian goaltender Igor Shestyorkin.

Later on in the contest, Buchnevich used his speed to gain separation from a Czech Republic player as he skates around the net and puts the puck right on the stick of fellow teammate Vladimir Tkachyov, who scored on the play.

Ranger prospect goalie Igor Shestyorkin made 22 saves in the game allowing two goals on 24 shots for a .916 save percentage.

The teams are preparing to play in the IIHF World Championships, which will begin play on May 4. Along with Buchnevich, Chytil, and Shestyorkin other New York Rangers playing at the World Championships will be Lias Andersson and Mika Zibenajad for team Sweden, Chris Kreider and Neal Pionk who will play for team USA.
