The New York Rangers welcome the Carolina Hurricanes to the Garden on Monday night. The Hurricanes are still in the playoff hunt as they sit six points behind the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second Wild Card spot.

The Rangers come back home in the midst of a three-game losing streak as they were defeated by the Florida Panthers 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night.

Henrik Lundqvist appears in 800 NHL games

Congratulations to Henrik Lundqvist, who on Saturday night became the 15th goaltender in NHL history and the first goaltender born outside of North America to appear in at least 800 career games.

Kevin Hayes reaches a milestone in goals scored

Forward Kevin Hayes scored his 20th goal Saturday night in Florida. This marked the first time he has reached the 20-goal mark in a single season in his NHL career.

Mika Zibanejad one goal away from tying his career-high

Mika Zibanejad also reached the 20-goal plateau, the third time in his career he has done so. He now stands just one goal away from tying his career-high of 21 goals which he set on the 2015-16 season.

Rangers prospect Ty Ronning’s Cinderella season continues in the WHL

New York Rangers prospect Ty Ronning continues to have his best professional season. Ronning scored his 59th goal of the year on Sunday. He has recorded 17 goals in the last 19 games, and he has registered at least one goal in 40 of 68 games this season. His second goal of the game gave Ronning his 16th multi-goal game this season. Ronning signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Rangers last week.
