The New York Knicks could only sit back and watch as Damian Lillard lit it up from all over the court in a blowout win.
- New York Knicks 87 (24-41)
- Portland Trail Blazers 111 (39-26)

- Moda Center, Portland, Oregon
Damian Lillard went off for 37 points in a blowout win against the New York Knicks. He started off the night hot and hung 19 points on the Knicks in the first quarter alone. The Knicks gave up 30 or more points in the first quarter for the fourth straight game.
Lillard was nothing short of dominant as he sunk eight three-pointers by himself. The entire Knicks team hit seven three-pointers.
Frank Ntilikina made his first career NBA start tonight. Ntilikina finished with six points two assists and two rebounds while shooting two of seven from the field. He showed promise on defense, but he was hardly given the opportunity to defend Lillard. It would have been interesting to see him matched up against the All-Star considering no one else on the Knicks could stop him.
All three of the Knicks point guards struggled mightily against Portland as Trey Burke and Emmanuel Mudiay were a combined 3-for-21 from the field.
The Knicks continue to try and develop their young players while fighting for a better draft pick. The developing their young player’s idea has not been kind to their win-loss record thus far as they’ve won just one out of their last 13 games.
