New York Knicks Enes Kanter Trade

Enes Kanter may not have much of a chance at making the All-Star team, but if he does it looks like he’ll “demand” a trade from LeBron James’ team.

According to ESPN’s Ian Begley, Enes Kanter is demanding a trade, just not from the Knicks. Kanter was asked about possibly being named to the All-Star team as a replacement for Kevin Love. He jokingly replied that he, “Might ask for a trade.”

Even with the possibility of a few more injuries, Kanter isn’t going to be named to the All-Star team. Regardless, this playful moment from Kanter is another installment in his series of trolling LeBron James this season. So far this season, Enes Kanter has defended his rookie point guard, Frank Ntilikina, gone chest-to-chest with James in defense of that same rookie, traded barbs, trolled “The King” following an ejection, and took to Twitter to rub it in after a particularly bad loss for the Cavaliers.

So if you’ve lost track of the number of times Kanter has trolled LeBron this season it’s ok, you’re not alone. New York Knicks fans have loved the way Kanter has defended his teammates and taken some not so subtle jabs at LeBron. It may not mean anything significant on the basketball court, but at the very least it’s something that can give Knicks fans a good laugh.

The worst part about this Kanter-James feud is that they won’t be matching up against one another until the Knicks’ final game of the season. By that point, the Knicks may be out of the playoff hunt. But if the basketball gods are kind, they’ll make that a win or go home game for the Knicks and we’ll see these two finally face each other on the court, as opposed to on Twitter.

LeBron is as petty as anyone in the league and you can bet that all of these jabs from Kanter will be fresh in his mind the next time these two meet.
