The New York Rangers split a two-game road trip, then win a home date on Saturday night.

The New York Rangers had three games, all against division opponents last week. They battled the Penguins on Tuesday, in which they fell behind, then fought back for the victory with Ondrej Pavelec getting his first win ever in Pittsburgh.

On Friday night, the Blueshirts fell behind just 14 seconds into the contest and, though they came back from a two-goal deficit, ended up losing to the Capitals. Finally, the Rangers hosted the first-place Devils in a game they controlled from the opening faceoff to gain a win over their crosstown rivals.

Who’s Not

Chris Kreider has quieted down quite a bit. Kreider had no points recorded last week.

Injuries

Mika Zibanejad remains out as he is recovering from a concussion. Saturday night was the fifth-straight game he’s missed due to injury.

Congratulations Henrik!

With Saturday’s win, Henrik Lundqvist moved into sole possession of second place for a goaltender with the most wins playing for the same team (419).
