The Rangers were back to their old bad habits last week. They were down 3-0 with 12 minutes remaining in the first against the Panthers, battled back and lost on a late third-period goal after another turnover.

In the Carolina game, the Rangers were down 1-0 just 56 seconds into the game. Luckily they were playing a weak Hurricanes teams and battled back to win 5-1 on the strength of a Michael Grabner hat trick.

Steven Kampfer has had a tough time this week. He has been caught out of position a few times and seems to have finally lost the confidence that helped carried him this season.
