The Kansas City Chiefs, Darrelle Revis and Geno Smith are on the docket in this edition of New York Jets Daily for Dec. 2, 2017.
- New York Jets (4-7)
- Kansas City Chiefs (6-5)
- NFL, Week 13, Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
- MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
The Kansas City Chiefs riding a three-game losing streak while bringing in a 6-5 record to MetLife Stadium. Darrelle Revis wearing the red of the Chiefs while playing in East Rutherford. And Geno Smith starting his first game for the New York Giants in favor of Eli Manning.
“What the hell’s going on out here?”
That’s right. This Sunday is going to host one weird version of National Football League action.
Revis, the greatest defensive player in New York Jets history, will be wearing No. 24 while listed as the second right-side cornerback of the KC defense.
At 4-7, the only chance the Jets have of sneaking into the AFC playoffs is if they win out. (And yes, nine wins would get it done.) The problem is the ridiculously tough schedule they face the rest of the way.
- Week 14 @ Denver
- Week 15 @ New Orleans
- Week 16 vs. Chargers
- Week 17 @ New England
Therefore, the only thing left is to hope they capture a top 10 pick and draft a Josh Allen-type who can secure the face of the franchise role desperately needed.
Hey, if the Giants chose Geno over Eli, can the Giants also just ship Eli down the street? Seriously, Jerry Reese. Just put a package slip on him and make it out to Florham Park. The delivery charge won’t be much. In fact, we’ll spring for it.
Manning in 2018 with a top 10 quarterback sounds like a nice duo to move forward with.
