New York Giants legend Carl Banks got into a “fight” on Twitter with current Giants defensive lineman Damon Harrison over Eli Manning.

The New York Giants benched quarterback Eli Manning on Tuesday, announcing that Geno Smith would start on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders in his place.

As you can imagine, people were shocked and upset about this news. Many of Manning’s former teammates and ex-Giants who never played with him showed their support for Eli on Twitter. Former Giants linebacker Carl Banks was one of them.

But not only did Banks defend Eli, he took shots at the current roster.

“I’m gonna say this and Im done.. ELI MANNING DID NOT QUIT ON HIS TEAM, HE DIDN’T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT, AND NEVER BITCHED ABOUT WHAT WAS GIVEN HIM.. HE SHOWED UP WHEN MANY OF THESE SO CALLED PROS QUIT ON HIM.. AND THIS IS HOW IT ENDS? FUCK!!!!!!!!” Banks tweeted.

Damon Harrison responded by tweeting, “Stop the sub tweeting and put a name on it. You in that building everyday and have yet to approach anybody u thought “quit”…emotional tweeting isn’t good.”

Banks responded by saying he doesn’t play anymore and that he encourages and roots for all Giants.

He also said that he and Snacks aren’t fighting and that they are good.

While Snacks and Banks are on good terms, their argument has been entertaining and makes you wish they weren’t on good terms, at least on this topic.
