New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was listed on the attendance sheet for the Cal-UCLA game. Quarterback Josh Rosen, perhaps.
‘Tis the season, everybody. Well, ’tis the season for all quarterbacks whose wish it is to be playing football on Sunday next season.
Forget turkeys on Thanksgiving and gifts under the tree for Christmas, what New York Jets fans want is a bonafide face of the franchise. The names have been uttered for what seems like an eternity by now.
Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Kirk Cousins, Andrew Luck, Alex Smith, Mason Rudolph, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson — the list goes on and on.
On Friday night, Jets GM Mike Maccagnan solidified another highly-touted gunslinger.
Per Kyle Bonagura of ESPN, Maccagnan’s name appeared on the attendance sheet for the Cal-UCLA game on Friday night. Obviously, the draw here is top 10 possibly top five talent Josh Rosen.

Making things even more interesting is the fact that Rosen, the junior, decided to run with the seniors on senior night.

With the Jets sitting at 4-6, Rosen and Darnold may be a moot point (hello Cleveland), but those San Francisco 49ers destroyed the predictable narrative when they traded for Jimmy Garoppolo.
Recent reports have the Jets hot-and-heavy for Wyoming’s Josh Allen. But despite those grumblings (similar to the love for Mitchell Trubisky last spring), Mikey Mac is surely covering ground in this neverending hunt for a franchise quarterback (whatever that truly means).
