Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo shared a few laughs about one of the Sports Pope’s new replacements, Bart Scott.
No one replaces the Sports Pope, uhkay? Mike Francesa was joined by old friend Chris “Mad Dog’ Russo during “Francesa: A Night to Remember,” held at the Tilles Center on the LIU Post campus in Greenvale, Long Island on Wednesday night.
When the topic of Mike’s replacement(s) came up, let’s just say the comedic passive aggression that ensued was to the audience’s delight.

Who is Bart Scott again? Francesa is going out on top–don’t try and tell him otherwise. It took three people to replace me, uhkay.
Is Mike as in tune with current events in sports and society as he once was? Probably not–but that doesn’t necessarily mean the quality of the show has decreased. The rants, the long monologues and never ending calls from local “Mongos” still make the show great. Enjoy this last month of Mike while you can.
Francesa closed the show with a touching tribute to former partner in crime Russo, his wife Roe and his older brother John.
