King of the MTA: LeBron James, Cavs Ride Subway Before Knicks Game (Video)

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers went through a daily rite of passage for New Yorkers—they hopped on the subway.

How’d you like to jump on the subway on your way to work, somehow snag a seat and then realize you’re sitting next to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers?

One New Yorker sitting next to James wasn’t enthused by the experience. Once LeBron turned his camera on the man, he stuck his hand out and say “Can you not” before getting up and moving seats.

James found the whole thing funny, remarking that they now had “more room.”

The Cavs were taking the downtown “C” train back to their hotel after going through their shootaround before playing the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.

James, who normally gets more love than hate at MSG, should expect a more mixed reaction this time. Over the weekend, he remarked that the Knicks should have taken Dennis Smith Jr. instead of Frank Ntilikina in the 2017 NBA Draft, a hot take that was met with a swift response from the teen’s teammates.
