Anders Lee’s Second Goal Ties Score for New York Islanders

Anders Lee scores his second goal of the game and ties it up twice tonight for the New York Islanders.

Anders Lee did it again tonight, scoring his second goal of the game to tie it yet again for the New York Islanders.

The first line of Josh Bailey, John Tavares and Anders Lee now have a combined seven points in this game. The Islanders started slow but have been quick to respond to the Capitals, especially on the powerplay.

Both Bailey and Tavares have two points, with Lee having a three-point night. The scoring goes outside of the top-line, however. Thomas Hickey, the defenseman in for an injured Adam Pelech, has an assist on Lee’s second goal.

Currently out-shooting the Capitals at just under a 2-1 margin, the Islanders are taking it to Ovechkin and his squad.

The Islanders currently trail the Capitals 4-3 on MSG+ with just under three minutes remaining in the third period.
