Can the 1-5 New York Giants makes it 2 straight victories when the Seattle Seahawks visit MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon?

Seattle Seahawks (3-2) at New York Giants (1-5)

  • Giants host series for first time since Week 15 in ’13, a 23-0 loss.
  • Seahawks have won three straight meetings dating back to ’11 (by a combined 97-42 score), including a 38-17 victory in ’14 at Seattle in teams’ last meeting.
  • Including the postseason, Seahawks are 4-0 lifetime at MetLife Stadium (2-0 vs. Giants, 1-0 vs. Jets, 1-0 vs. Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII) dating back to ’11.

Seahawks By The Numbers

  • Coming off a BYE in Week 6.
  • Seahawks’ QB Russell Wilson: 29 TD passes, 17 turnovers (14 INT, three lost fumbles) in 21 regular-season games dating back to ’16; 34 TD passes, 11 turnovers (eight INT, three lost fumbles) in 16 regular-season games in ’15.
  • Wilson: Including playoffs, sacked 112 times in 41 games dating back to ’15.
  • Seattle has a 53-20-1 record in last 74 regular season games dating back to Week 13 of ’12 (opened 6-5 in ’12).
  • Including playoffs, allowed 62 TD passes in 60 games dating back to ’14 (25 to tight ends).

Giants By The Numbers

  • Defeated Broncos 23-10 in Week 6 for first win of 2017.
  • Have 300 rushing yards in last two games (237 rushing yards in first four games in ’17).
  • QB Eli Manning: 35 TD passes, 21 INT in 22 regular season games since ’16 (65 TD passes, 28 INT in 32 games from 2014-15).

  • Including playoffs, have 28 takeaways in last 16 games dating back to ’16 (three takeaways in first six games in ’16)
  • Would need to win their final 10 games to equal their 11-5 record in 2016.

Things To Look For

Yes, the Giants are down quite a few key players these days. But that didn’t seem to make a difference last week as they stunned the Broncos in Denver. Ben McAdoo’s club has cranked up the ground game the past two weeks and the Seahawks are struggling to stop teams from running the ball these days. Pete Carroll’s defense is 26th in the league in rushing defense, surrendering 127.2 yards per game on the ground. Don’t be surprised if the Giants shorten this game via unsung running back Orleans Darkwa and pull off a second straight victory.
