Jordan Eberle’s First Goal As A New York Islander Proves To Be Game Winner (Video)

Jordan Eberle’s first goal for the New York Islanders lifted the team to its fifth preseason win, a 3-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

Jordan Eberle notched his first goal as a member of the New York Islanders, a slick backhand tally just as the Islanders powerplay expired.

Islanders fans are going to have to get used to hearing that phrase a lot this coming season.

“Eberle, from Lee and Tavares.”

The chemistry between the three first-line mates has been evident throughout the preseason, and the first-line contributed to two of the Islanders’ three goals.

Also, with Mathew Barzal having an assist in all three Islander goals and with him notching points in several of the Islanders preseason games it’s hard to see a scenario where he doesn’t start the season with the pros.

The Islanders are now 5-0-2 in their seven preseason contests, the last to be played will be this Sunday in Philadelphia.
