It’s hockey time folks! Signs of New York Rangers hockey are starting to show up at Madison Square Garden.

MSG is starting to look more like it’s normal self as the staff began to lay down the ice today in anticipation of the New York Rangers’ upcoming season.

Pretty cool, eh? Ice puns are an absolute must for this one.

In prospect news, seventh round pick Ty Ronning registered a hat trick for Vancouver of the WHL in preseason action. Ronning continues to score at impressive rates in Major Junior and will be a name to watch at Traverse City, which starts Friday night.

Over in the OHL, the hottest Rangers prospect, Tim Gettinger, was named captain for Sault Ste. Marie’s preseason game. Gettinger is coming off an impressive performance at the World Junior Summer Showcase and career highs last season in the OHL with 31 Goals and 54 Points.

And finally, it appears Henrik Lundqvist will appear on Live With Kelly and Ryan this morning. Hank is no stranger to the show, as he appeared in back in 2015 with Kelly and Michael Strahan. Lundqvist will be on promoting the upcoming season for the boys in Blue.

That’s all for today’s Blueshirt Beat. Stay tuned to ESNY for more Rangers content as the season ramps up!
