New York Rangers Traverse City Tournament Roster Announced

The Traverse City tournament is where the New York Rangers bring all their top prospects together prior to Rangers Training camp.

The New York Rangers announced their roster for the 19th annual Traverse City Tournament, which will begin on Friday, Sept. 8th. This will be the 11th year that the Rangers are participating in the event, which is held in Traverse City, Michigan.

The Rangers are sending 23 of their top prospects to the event, including first-round picks Lias Andersson and Filip Chytil. Others participating include Ryan Gropp, Neal Pionk, Ty Ronning and Alexandar Geogiev.

The Rangers are one of four teams that will participate in the tournament in the Gordie Howe Divison along with prospects of the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Detroit Red Wings.

Rangers Tournament Schedule

  • Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Chicago, 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Saturday, Sept. 9 vs. Carolina, 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Monday, Sept. 11 vs. Detroit, 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Tuesday, Sept. 12: Placement game vs. Ted Lindsay Division, TBA
