Good friends and New York Rangers teammates will be hosting a charity outdoor hockey game next season.
New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist and forward Mats Zuccarello have announced a joint outdoor game, to be held next summer in Oslo, Norway, with Right To Play.
Lundqvist teased the announcement on his Instagram account earlier today, posting that he was traveling to Oslo “to see an old friend and to announce something.”
King Henrik followed that up with the actual announcement a few hours later.
Looks like It’s Hank vs. Mats in the “Henke & Zucca Summer Classic” to be held at Ulevall Stadium. The best part? It’s for a good cause. Zuccarello is the Ambassador for Right To Play, an organization that helps educate and empower children living in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
The Zuccarello Foundation, which will also play a part in the event, assists and helps grow Norwegian grassroots and youth hockey all over the country by providing a different kind of support to those who need it the most.
Here’s a look at the official logo for the event.
