Rumors have it that Garth Snow and the New York Islanders may swap with the Los Angeles Kings to fix that dreaded goalie situation.

With the New York Islanders struggling and goalie Jaroslav Halak unhappy with the team’s three goalie system, GM Garth Snow let the league know that he is ready to make a move.

Rumors are circulating that L.A. GM Dean Lombardi has made himself a possible trade partner for Halak’s services.

This move makes sense for the Kings, as star goalie Jonathan Quick went down with a groin injury during the team’s first game and is expected to miss at least three months. Current starter Peter Budaj has struggled, posting a .902 SV%, and a 2.31 GAA through nine games this season.

If Halak can be packaged with one of the team’s young forwards, for forwards Jeff Carter or Tyler Toffoli, and a pick or a prospect as well, this could turn out to be a very solid move for both franchises.
