The Rangers entered Thursday night’s battle against the Edmonton Oilers as the NHL’s top offensive team. Once the game concluded, their offensive ways didn’t change one bit as the Blueshirts out-paced the Oilers 5-3.

New York’s collected 16 goals over the last three games.

Not once, not twice, but three times the Oilers took the lead only to see the Rangers come back and tie things up. Finally, Rick Nash put home the game-winner with a little over a minute remaining in regulation:

Early in the first period, Oilers Forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins put the Oilers on the board first. He blasted a shot past Henrik Lundqvist on the power-play to give Edmonton a 1-0 lead.

Two minutes later, the Rangers hot third line came up big again as Kevin Hayes put in his fourth goal of the season past former Ranger Cam Talbot.

Mid-second period the Oilers took the lead again as Patrick Maroon gave the Oilers a 2-1 lead on an amazing play by 18- year-old Jesse Puljujarvi.

But the Rangers did what they do best, which was coming right back and scoring. One of the Rangers hottest players, Michael Grabner, tied the game for the Blueshirtsfive minutes left in the second period.

Oilers Defenseman Adam Larsson blasted a wrist shot off the faceoff to give the Oilers a 3-2 lead early in the third period.

But once again the Rangers came right back, and it was the other hot line, the fourth line, as Jesper Fast netted the game-tying goal.

That would take us to the Nash game-winner. Only a J.T. Miller empty-net goal would conclude the remainder of the night’s scoring.

Henrik Lundqvist had another solid night in front of the Garden faithful. He stopped 21 shots on 24 Edmonton shots in the victory.

With this win, the Rangers have won their last three games and have won seven of their last eight on home ice.

The Rangers next game will on Saturday night as they will travel to Boston to face the Bruins.

Hello Rangers fans, my name is Jake Weingarten and i really love the rangers. The rangers mean a lot to me, whether it's the fans, players, or the history. I've enjoyed many games at MSG and on the road, but none better then game 7 2015 against the Washington Capitals. If i had to choose a favorite blueshirt of all-time, it would be Carl Hagelin. Last thing, always believe in yourself and never doubt your thoughts. Let's go Rangers!.
