The NFL (No Fun League) strikes again by fining New York Giants DE Owa Odighizuwa for his role in celebrating Landon Collins’ pick six.
The NFL has issued a $12,154 to New York Giants defensive end Owa Odighizuwa for his celebration following safety Landon Collins’ pick six against the Los Angeles Rams.
It was Odighizuwa’s pretending to snap a photo of Collins following the play which incurred the fine from the league office. The fake photo shoot also earned Odighizuwa and his team a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during the game.
The NFL loves fines and hates invisible cameras. They fined Giants DE Owa Odighizuwa $12,154 for using one:https://t.co/HLCmw2iy3O pic.twitter.com/9mopP4gdtl

Meanwhile, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles punted a football to celebrate a rushing touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. Bortles was neither fined nor penalized because the ball didn’t land directly into the stands.
Yet, Odighizuwa’s “infraction” was apparently worth a flag plus over 12 grand?
The NFL really just doesn’t get it. The reason the “No Fun League” moniker continues to stick is because nothing could be further from the truth.
