New York Yankees Call Up Gary Sanchez (Report)

New York Yankees Call Up Gary Sanchez (Report)
Noah K. Murray-USATI

The New York Yankees have called up top catching prospect Gary Sanchez during Tuesday night’s contest with the New York Mets.

According to Scranton Times-Tribune, the New York Yankees have brought Gary Sanchez to the major league roster during what everyone calls prospect liberation day.

The polarizing prospect owns a .285/.340/.473 slash line with 10 home runs in 70 games in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and now he has a chance to showcase that in the Bronx.

With the Yankees facing off against the lefty Stephen Matz tomorrow night at the stadium, the right-handed hitting Sanchez will likely get a starting spot in the lineup.

In three major league games, New York’s fifth-ranked prospect is 0-for-6 with two strikeouts.

The call-up has yet to be confirmed and we will have more detail as to who was sent down as the information is exposed.
