New York Rangers Have Acquired Nick Holden From Colorado

The New York Rangers finally made a move, as small as it may be, as they acquired defensemen Nick Holden from Colorado.

The New York Rangers are starting to address their defensive issues as they acquired Nick Holden from the Colorado Avalanche for a 4th round pick in 2017.

Another day, another pick that has been sent off to another team.

Holden is not exactly a barn burner, as his stats are very similar Marc Staal’s.

Holden tallied 6 goals and 16 assits last season, with a Corsi For of 44.9%. For the statistics folk, Jeff Gorton is basically stealing from Paul to pay Peter, but at a much lower price of 1.8M.

Could the Rangers be positioning for a larger move? Only time will tell.
